Rent the historic Mule Barn or the Carriageway for your own event — birthdays, corporate gatherings, receptions, or reunions. All proceeds go toward the restoration and preservation of Destrehan Plantation.

The Carriageway
- 1,085 sq ft, up to 50 guests
- Tables and chairs included
- 3-hour standard rental, same as the Mule Barn
- Can be combined with the Mule Barn for larger events

Rental FAQ
How far in advance should I book?
Saturday night rentals are generally only available within 3 months of the date, except for weddings, which should be booked at least a year in advance. For events shorter than 2 hours or longer than the standard 3, contact the office directly to check availability.
Can I bring my own caterer?
Yes. Any caterer you bring must be licensed, bonded, and insured. Outside food trays are allowed without needing a licensed caterer. A liquor license is required for bar service.
What's included in the rental price?
Tables and chairs are included at no extra cost. Cloth linens (white or ivory) are $15 per table, and there's a $150 kitchen use fee if you or your caterer use the kitchen.
